Healing with Sura Al Muscati

Listen directly on your favorite podcast app from here: part 1 and part 2

Healing is a big subject I wish we were taught in schools among other important life skills. How to face life's suffering and uncertainty specifically in an Arab society.

In part 1 of episode 2 of Know thyself, we discuss healing as a subject, the importance of community, inner-child healing work, grief and trauma. All whilst sharing very personal stories and experiences. It is inspired by "how to do the work" a book by Dr. Nicole LePera. There is also a tribute at the end of the episode, written and narrated by Sura Al Muscati.

Boundaries with the big B!!! This is a blurry concept in our society. In part 2 of the healing episode, we continue the conversation with Sura Al Muscati on this subject, dissecting what it means and how we deal with it in an Arab culture. In addition to defining attachment theory as well as additional thoughts on therapy.

A recommended read is Nedra Glover Tawwab’s book “set boundaries, find peace. A guide to reclaiming yourself”
